HERALD advised L'OREAL in the constitution of its endowment fund
HERALD advised L'Oréal, the world's leading beauty company with 36 brands in its international portfolio and 88,000 employees worldwide, in setting up the L'Oréal Women's Fund.
In the exceptional context of the Covid-19 pandemic and in order to face the consequences of the pandemic, L'Oréal announced the creation of a social and environmental solidarity programme entitled "L'Oréal for the Future" to intervene on two priority areas in this period of crisis.
One of these components has resulted in the creation, in June 2020, of a philanthropic endowment fund, endowed with €50 million, to support associations working with women in highly vulnerable situations, who are the first victims of the social and economic crisis resulting from the health crisis.
L'Oréal was advised by Olivier Binder, an expert partner in the field of philanthropic foundations and trusts. Olivier Binder also advises and litigates on distribution law, competition law, franchise law and commercial real estate law. Member of Euro Franchise Lawyer, he is also an arbitrator referenced by the International Arbitration Chamber of Paris in the field of franchising.
