Klaus Küspert publishes his new book on German Tax Law for Lawyers

I am pleased to inform you that my 2021 book Steuerrecht für Juristen (Tax Law for Lawyers), addressing German tax law in its entirety, has recently been published for on-demand purposes. It is available for order via GRIN Verlag – grin.com – and is available in digital form as well as in print.

Following the publication of my small booklet on finance and tax last year, this new book focuses on the main topics of the German tax system. It has three parts starting with an overview of the basic tax fields, followed by a detailed analysis of all tax topics important for a middleclass entrepreneur. These topics include a description of relevant legal forms and concentrate on all aspects of founding, running, restructuring, and finishing such vehicles. The different legal forms are compared and also described from the angle of diverse tax consequences such as valuation for tax and sales purposes. The valuation aspects focus on real estate and enterprises.

The second part of the book includes a lengthy section on tax base calculation and the ramifications of changes made by audits and other events. Taxes involved in real estate transactions are covered along with general transaction taxes. The section on formal law describes the process of tax compliance and the different options available to litigate tax cases.

Part three features eleven case studies, all taken from my own practice. International cases mainly deal with intercompany pricing matters.

If you need help or have questions in regard to this book, let me know.
