Prof Dr Renate Dendorfer-Ditges Invited to Join Legal Expert Group on Workplace Transformation
Prof Dr Renate Dendorfer-Ditges (from GGI member firm DITGES Rechtsanwälte Wirtschaftsprüfer Steuerberater) was appointed to participate in the Bertelsmann Expertengruppe Arbeitsrecht 4.0.
About forty experts from leading German law firms, companies and organisations as well as science, and politics will discuss the future of workplace transformation and the legal impact. This topic covers many different aspects of our workplace, such as new forms of organisations, shifting values, digital transformation and its legal consequences, managing the legal impact for remote workers, how workplaces will be organised in the future, and what consequences this will have on existing and necessary legal regulations, legal profiles for the legislator? There will surely be new expectations and preferences as sets of values and behaviors are likely to change.
In this expert group, opportunities and new possible legal structures will be discussed. Traditional laws will be re-thought, new ideas and solutions for future workspace environments and the legal impact will be found. The key is to be open-minded and creative when it comes to completely new ideas.
Many companies realise the need for digital changes, and implement rules, regulations, and norms to scope with the new. Sometimes they realise that those traditional tools and according legal concepts are not suffcient to cope with changes. It might need new techniques and styles to meet the new expectations and needs which must be guided by an adequate legal framework. Let’s start to bridge the gap between the younger, mostly digitally savvy, generation and the older, mostly more digitally distant, generation of decision-makers.
GGI members interested in this subject can email Prof Dr Dendorfer-Ditges directly – if there is enough interest, we can run a webinar to discuss our ideas.
