Moritt Hock & Hamroff Attorneys: Key Contributors to New ABA Book Offering Advice and Tips to In-House Counsel
GGI member firm Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP announced in May 2019 that five of its attorneys are featured as authors or co-authors of several chapters of a recently released book from the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Section, “Guide for In-House Counsel: Practical Resource to Cutting-Edge Issues”. It offers practical and helpful advice for in-house counsel on managing a variety of challenging issues as the legal industry evolves and increasingly adapts to technological advancements in the workplace.
Each chapter in the book covers key topics and concerns that often arise within a particular area of the law, which are subsequently identified throughout the book as practice pointers. The Moritt Hock & Hamroff contributors include: Of Counsel Steven Seltzer, author of “Chapter 5: Cybersecurity & Protecting Data Privacy”; Partner Leslie Berkoff, coauthor of “Chapter 8: The Impact of the Automatic Stay”; Partner Terese Arenth, author of “Chapter 12: What Is A Trademark or Service Mark?”; Associate Stephen Breidenbach, co-author of “Chapter 13: Patents”; and Counsel Michael Schwab, author of “Chapter 14: Copyright”.
Leslie A. Berkoff, a partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff, served as editor of the “Guide for In-House Counsel”. At the firm, Ms Berkoff serves as the co-chair of its Litigation, Bankruptcy, and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Groups. She concentrates her practice in the area of bankruptcy and restructuring litigation and corporate workouts, and she represents a variety of corporate debtors, trustees, creditors, and creditor committees, both nationally and locally.
In addition, Ms Berkoff also serves as a mediator on a variety of state and federal panels as well as a AAA arbitrator. She speaks and publishes extensively and is a recognised leader in her field.
