DALDEWOLF Strengthens its Focus on Regulated Markets and Creates a Department in Food Law
Aude Mahy joins GGI member firm Daldewolf as a Partner in the newly established Food Law department. She has over 15 years of experience and has built a genuine combined expertise in food law and in commercial law, at both the European and Belgian levels.
She has a proven track record in assisting food and beverages business operators, and successfully representing them in court and before the authorities in matters relating, among others, to nutrition and health claims, labelling, advertising, food-crisis management, food supplements, market practices, distribution networks, and liability issues in the food supply chain.
She is recognised as an expert in the field and her food-law practice has continuously been ranked Tier1 by the Legal 500. In particular, the recently published 2019 edition states: “Aude Mahy is a star; she has her finger on the pulse of the sector and is very responsive”.
A sought-after speaker, Aude is a member of the Food Lawyers Network Worldwide and is country correspondent for the European Food and Feed Law Review (Lexxion).
Aude obtained her MA at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in 2004 and holds a certificate in EU Food Law from Michigan State University. In parallel with her position as attorneyat- law, Aude worked as a teaching assistant in private law (Roman law) at ULB between 2005 and 2009.
Over the last 10 years, she has developed her expertise and experience with an international law firm based in Brussels.
