McCabe Curwood opens new offce 15 minutes north of the Sydney CBD. Government and Insurance groups to call Chatswood home base. The move is a part of a long-term strategy to create a more flexible and agile working environment.
GGI member firm McCabe Curwood, a large boutique law firm known for its strong commercial, insurance, and government practices, has opened a large “home base” outside of the Sydney CBD for fee earners, in a bold move to align with clients and build a more flexible and agile working environment.
“By moving to the Zenith Centre, an A-Grade building outside of the Sydney CBD, we can invest in the long-term vision of McCabe Curwood, we can build what we are calling the Future Workplace,” said Andrew Lacey, Managing Principal at McCabe Curwood.
“With moving part of our operations out of the CBD, we can grow our footprint and create a better working environment. We are providing flexibility in where and how teams work. Employees are able to work from both offce locations and are equipped with new laptops and plenty of data allowance, so they are not restricted to any one location,” Lacey added.
Her Worship Mayor of Willoughby, Councillor Gail Giles-Gidney offcially opened the offce located across two levels of the Zenith Centre. The building boasts an in-house childcare centre with priority placement to tenants, new end of trip facilities, a wellness programme and access to green space for BBQ‘s and other large staff functions.
Mayor Gail has recently publicly stated her vision for Chatswood as a vibrant, diverse, and accessible CBD with an exceptional urban design.
McCabe Curwood chose the Chatswood location as the building facilities are on par with their MLC Centre offces on Martin Place in Sydney‘s CBD, and also because of the convenience and opportunity Chatswood provides as a significant transport and business hub.
“Chatswood opens up a gateway to the expanding North and North West of Sydney. We want our existing employees and our future employees to be able to take advantage of the Chatswood CBD and the new offce, which provides for better working conditions; especially when they are not client facing or in court and don‘t need to travel into the city.
Having easier access to essential services like childcare will also help us attract high-calibre candidates like working parents, who don‘t want the long city hours and need to be back in time to pick up from school or daycare. Work takes up such a large part of our lives; we need to make sure it fits with our personal lives,” says Lacey.
